When scouring most blogs about the best sushi in Toronto and the GTA, many will say Sushi on Bloor, but after eating at Yang’s sushi in Mississauga, I beg to differ.

Unless someone has told you about this gem you are likely to never go, as it is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall across from corporate buildings and empty farm fields. However, no one should ever go to Mississauga for the scenery, so if you are looking for the best all-you-can-eat sushi and don’t mind the drive from downtown, Yang’s is the place to be.
Here’s our go-to list of items to order:
- Deep-fried scallops
- Shrimp tempura
- Miso Soup
- Salmon sushi (and lots of it)
- Crab sushi
- Spicy salmon maki
- Green Dragon roll
- Ice cream
In the evening you also have the choice of sashimi, which is not on the lunch menu. The total including tax and tip for lunch is $20, a cheap price to pay considering how much food you can stuff in your mouth in under an hour. Dinner is slightly more expensive, coming to $30 each. I will also make the point that I am from Vancouver, the land where sushi reigns supreme and is so fresh it’s practically still squirming on your plate. Yang’s Sushi is the closest I’ve come to this high Vancouver quality.
Lunch is served until 2:30, so be sure to not cut it close and get there in time. It’s about a half hour drive from downtown, and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
