His Take: Shorten Your Life by a Year at Shake Shack

I could visit New York City every year for the rest of my life and never get bored with it. On my last trip, I discovered the Shake Shack. If you happen to live in NYC and have never been, you deserve to be slapped. Period. It’s a well known chain with locations in Philadelphia, Washington, and Florida as well, but NYC has by far the highest number of Shake Shack’s to choose from including spots in Madison Square Park, the Upper East Side, Batter Park City, Theater District, etc.

Why do I love Shake Shack? Because this is everything that I’ve imagined about American burgers. Two patties, smothered in cheese, with a peanut butter milkshake on the side (MUCH better than it sounds), cheese fries, and a beer. Make that a combo, please.

Do not hold back at this place. If ever there was a time to put your health aside in the name of glutinous heart attack inducing awesomeness, it would be when you go to Shake Shack. For those of you across the pond, consider yourselves lucky as Shake Shack will be opening shop in London in mid 2013. Make sure you capitalize.
